No Service - Samsung Galaxy S6

Hi,

I have been with Public Mobile for about a month, and recently got my phone changed to a samsung Galaxy S6. For the first couple of days the SIM Card worked fine with the Galaxy S6, but now I am unable to get service. i tried to connect o the Nework Operator and it will connect for about a minute, and then disconnects once more. I have the service bars, but still cannot use my mobile data or texting or calling. I have tried resetting the phone with and without the SIM card and tred turning on and off the airplane mode but nothing seems to fix it. I have tried the SIM card in other phones an iPhone 5 and Sony Xperia and the SIM cared worked fine in them. I dont know what the problem is. Could you please help?

Thank you very much.

So I reset all the phone and it still was not working. I think you are right, that the problem is with the phone itself. Thank you for all your help though. Much appreciated.

If the SIM card is working on other phones it looks like the S6 may be broken.

If you can give us the model number of that S6 then we can track it down which market it is designed for.

They mentioned the phone WAS working for a few days, so the phone should be compatible?

Clearly it is an issue with your specific phone because your sim works in other phones. It is not incompatible because it was just working. Have you checked to see if your phone IMEI was reported as lost or stolen?

Sometimes when you just get a phone 2nd hand someone sells it, then reports it as stolen for insurance money or a free phone replacement.

Next I would back up all my info on the phone and do a factory reset. Always good to start with a clean phone.  If it still doesn't work after a factory software reset it is extremely likely you have a hardware issue.
