Just ported over from bell Sunday morning. Using iPhone 13, calls are fine
Texts are not coming in or going out. Seem to be sending sometimes on old account with bell SIM card still inserted.
i've restarted with and without sim card, restarted with turning off imessage and facetime, sent multiple tickets for help with no reply.
I know that Public had problems with new customer portals this weekend but when does this get fixed? i depend on my texts for business as well as personal!

It was because I still had virgin sim in my phone. All fixed

are you using esim with Virgin or PM?
the reason it shows data provider is Virgin was because of the setup on the phone. What phone do you have ? All phones would have setup to tell the phone which sim to use if you have mutiple
However, I would suggest you to remove the Virgin sim if it is physical, or disable Virgin sim if it is esim
Then reboot the phone and click Reset All networks

Have you gotten any response from customer service?
I just signed up last night, my phone has had no cell service for half of today and I've been waiting a couple of hours for them to help.
In my settings it's telling me that my data provider is Public but my cell provider is still Virgin.

Hi Chris, I ported into PM Friday. Still no luck with text messaging or a reply for my “service text” so I went back with Virgin today (Tuesday). Went to a Bell / Virgin store to get it done. Bell and I were on the phone with Telus to try to get my number ported back with no luck. Telus owns PM but they can’t port for them and they won’t give a PM contract number. Long story short I don’t have my old number and have a new number. Been working contacts, bank logins, etc today. Oh, and of course canceled my Telus home services today too. A lesson learnt.

was it just sms issue? can you get inbound calls?
if SMS, probably a problem with activation. Please ask PM agent to refresh your account.
