New SIM card not working

I installed new sim card and android Samsung Galaxy A12 says “No sim card, Emergency calls only”

I assume you activated your new SIM before putting the SIM in your phone.

It sounds like your phone is not reading the SIM. It could be the SIM tray.

Try powering down the phone, reseat the SIM, wait 2 minutes then power on the phone.

@Ron87 Power down phone remove SIM card, re-insert SIM and power up again to see if it connects to the PM network.

@Ron87   why you are installing a new sim card?  the old one no longer working?

 

or you have a new phone?

 

if you have a new phone, you should first try to move the old sim card to the new one

 

If you got a new sim card because the old one does not work, you need to login to My Account and click Change SIM card, enter the new sim card number and pick one of the way to receive the Security ocde
