Mysterious Automatic Top-Up Charges Not Initiated By Me?

cdziak

This is a strange issue and I'm not sure what to do about it.

I keep getting random charges from Public Mobile, not initiated by myself, that show up as Automatic Top-Up charges. The amounts for the last three months since December have varied. I am just going to copy and paste the table from my transaction history and maybe someone can shed some light:

@cdziak

The top-up of 40 on December 31  was manual, can you remember making it at the end of the year?

Both $6 were automatic and that was the amount you were short for your plan

Perhaps the confusion comes from why did you deposit $8 and $17 on Feb 14th? You only needed $8 for the add-on. So then you're up $17.

Other than that...as already mentioned and marked-up by totaluser, if you have a balance then autopay drains that and then takes only what it needs from the payment card.

Thank you for the response. Here is a screenshot of my overview page which shows the $8 USA add-on I purchased in mid-February and my plan details. I still don't understand the rest of the charges unless there's something I'm missing.

Thank you for the response.

The only add-on I purchased was the $8 USA add-on in mid-February. My statements showed a normal transaction history from October up until January when these other numbers started popping up, like the two $6 charges and the $40 one.

Thank you for the response.

This plan was started back in October. I purchased an $8 USA add-on in mid-February. What I'm confused about is the two $6 automatic top-ups, the $17 automatic top up, and the one $40 one. Am I reading something wrong in the statement?

Yes, I purchased a one-time USA add-on for $8 mid February. The rest of the charges I'm not sure about unless I'm reading something incorrectly.

Please post a screenshot of your overview page after login showing the add-on usage information.  Please marked out your personal info as any one can view your post on this forum.

The screenshot will confirm that you had purchased the 200 minutes US and Canada minutes add-on as long as you have not used all 200 add-on minutes since Feb 14.

@cdziak  The automatic top ups is the result of your plan renewals through AutoPay plus a couple of add-ons that you purchased.

You start on 1st january with 25 plan

You were charged for it every 30 days, so on Jan 31 and March 1st.

On Feb 14 you withdrew mañualy money for long distañce (8+17) but you spent only 8.

You are receiving $2 for autopay

That means on every renewal day if your account doesn't have$25 the autopay will execute ànd charges your credit card the difference, you don't have to initiate it
