Help 🙂 I can’t text Android phones.
I recently ported my number from Fizz and it seemed to be working until I had to text my boss who uses an Android phone. No matter what I do I can’t send him a text. I have restarted the phone, clicked “Send as SMS”, and even changed my APN settings.
Something is off, because I can’t add my phone number to my Apple ID as it states “you must have a SIM associated with an Apple device linked to xxx-xxx-xxxx to be used for iMessage and FaceTime”
Is my old phone number still attached to Fizz? It’s been 3 months!

Hello. My phone number can’t be added to my iMessage toggle. I tried my Apple ID. I’ve tried to add the number to my Apple ID but it won’t accept it. The phone number can be called by other phones.
Update: tried to text other Androids. No luck

hi @Amelia_is_cool if your phone can receive phone calls, your line was ported
make sure Send as Text Message is active
Or you can remove the phone number on imess first and reboot phone and put the number back after and try again

Is this the only Android phone you can't text? Or all Androids?
Make sure you enable SMS as default messages always.
Are you still being billed by Fizz?
Can you delete the phone number on the phone settings and re add it.
