Make sure your public mobile number is active. Write down your account number.
Then call Fido and sign up.
They will walk you through the rest and port your number. When they port your number it will automatically close your account with Public Mobile.
Hope this helps!

One main thing is to have the Fido account number. You don't want to be unprepared. Fido PIN and IMEI not needed and shouldn't be used if you have account number.

Your first post indicated you wanted to know what you needed to do to move to Fido. So which is it?
You can port in from Telus or Koodo with an account short of deactivated. You can port out to Telus or Koodo with an account that is active or suspended.
For any others, either account has to be active.
To port in, you can choose to do it all during activation. Or do it afterwards with the help of the moderator team. Except Koodo pre-paid that would also need them.
To port out, see my first reply above.

@Mona1994 Do you want to port number in as part of the sim activation process? Or do you want to take a PM number first and then port? 2 different processes. Either way your Fido account needs to remain active.

@Mona1994 oh ok then lol You want to port your number from Fido to Public Mobile.
Well then, it will be the reverse of what @NDesai had mentioned above. Your Fido account should be active to port your number to PM.
Go here to get started Let's get you set up. Welcome!

I am confused with your original post. Are you currently with PM and need to port a number from another carrier?
If so choose the ? In the lower right hand corner and type port request.

@Mona1994 You must have PM account active. If yes, use your account number from My Account (publicmobile.ca) and give that info to Fido to port in your number.
Edit: Looks like op is looking to port from Fido to PM 😊

This account needs to be active. Remove any payment card.
Talk to Fido.
