@SteTem : But are you picking up a US ip address with that VPN? Also, wouldn't the app come from whatever app source like Google Play Store or the Apple App store whatever it's called. Then they need your credentials. Then they know you're Canadian. I don't know if that matters.

I did try using opera browser with built in VPN... either opera vpn is not strong enough

I will probably wait till when i am down there while i am on wifi in the States

It sounds as if the company only allows people the U.S. to use or download that app despite what they said to you, based on the IP address of the internet connection.  Unless you're using your Public Mobile data connection and the IP address is getting reported as being in the wrong geolocation, this isn:t something that Public Mobile can help you with.  An alternative would be to try using a different internet connection, dissconnect and reconnect to get a different IP address, or to use a VPN.

@SteTem : Point fingers elsewhere 🙂 I'd be curious to know whether even being in the states would make a difference if your app source store thinks you're Canadian with Canadian credentials.

Edit after above edit: VPN or not. But worth a try.

It maybe blocked due to your IP address.  You will probably need to wait until you are in the US to download it.

Another option would be to use a VPN to mask your location.
