Hello Public Mobile support. I would like to have my line re-provisioned. I am kindly requesting a porting refresh as I keep missing text messages from business colleagues, clients and family and it is increasing frustrating and affecting my business and relationships.

It is true Toggling airplane mode will refresh your network connection, but it does not fully “re‑provision” your SIM in the carrier‑backend sense. Toggling Airplane mode does NOT trigger backend provisioning.
Provisioning only happens when:
A proper Sim Re-provisioning will reactivates or updates:
So, both Resetting network settings after a device reboot is just a client side network refresh. But Resetting Network Settings after a device reboot does MUCH deeper than toggling airplane mode. Airplane mode is just a quick refresh. Resetting Network Settings after a device reboot s a full network cleanup. It wipes saved network configurations and reloads deeper system layers that airplane mode never touches, such as APN/Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth wipe, Full OS + modem reload — restarts system components far deeper than a radio toggle.

Hello @Alexanderperry
There's an easy way to have your SIM or eSIM reprovisioned. All you do is place your phone into airplane mode for 10 minutes, then shut the phone off for 5 and then turn it back on and turn off airplane mode. This resets your SIM or eSIM back on to the Public Mobile network. What you can do is download a VOIP app like TextNow and send yourself text messages to see if they are coming though. Unless you have a secondary phone or a friend/co-worker who says their texts aren't coming through to text you and test your phone.

If a porting request was completed, there is no "porting refresh" can be done
can you confirm if you can receive incoming calls, this will confirm if the porting request was completed?
But before checking it, please remove your old provider sim card, or disable the old provider esim.
And make sure PM sim is enabled and set as Primary.
Perform a Reset network settings after a device reboot
Call yourself from another phone to confirm
