Messaged mods on Friday afternoon, still no answer, still can't use my phone

So frustrated. Smiley Frustrated

Account is activated, credit card has been charged but not connecting to the network.

Tried all the usual suggestions.

I messaged the mods with as many details as I could give. No response.

I know they are busy and I know the price is right but man, I feel like a credit for the days I couldn't use my account is in order.

Welp! All the posts that say to be patient were right. I feel a bit silly now because customer service really took the problem seriously and set it straight.

I am a happy customer!

some of the things you might need to double check,

Phone unlocked? Is phone compatible?

Sim card activated? sim card inserted properly?

Which plan is activated?

if ported from another carrier, did you get the message from public mobile saying successfully completed?

if all has been done properly then your part is done, 🙂

Sorry to hear you're having trouble and vent away here!

Yes, I did what you're asking when I signed up: take whatever number and then port in when satisfied.

However, the old provider account (with the number you want to port) must still be active for the port to be successful.

Hope you hear back from the mods soon!

Yes, a lot of people mention that just take a new number, and then change to your old number later. your port maybe not successful, and you could try again.

Alex888 Thanks for listening, sometimes ya gotta vent.

I checked my phone on public's site (getting started page) and the site you suggested and it is all good.

I am coming from Telus.

Now my old provider SIM is saying it is unregistered so I am 100% unable to make calls.

Do you think I should just take a new number and then retry to port to my old number later?

@thatidaFirst check your phone's compatibility on https://willmyphonework.net/ to see if that is the issue. If it is compatible then message the moderators again, they have been busy but you should have heard back by now.
