Hi, I'm just wondering if I have auto pay enabled and I manually pay, would auto pay deduct money from my account twice even after I manually pay? I've been hearing auto pay glitches here and there.

No it does not. It will check for balance first and deduct from your cash balance first, then it will go charge your c/c afterwards.

I try to add sufficient $$ to Available Funds, a couple of days before renewal time. The autopay reward is still applied and renewal doesn't touch my on-file credit card as there's money in Available Funds.
This method seems to make renewal process happy.

There seem to be folks in the camp of keeping auto pay enabled to earn the reward but manually top up ahead of renewals to avert potential problems. It works but is a lot of work. Color me lucky but in my time here, I have yet to suffer a renewal failure and I do not manually top up.

Everything pivots around your Available Funds. Rewards convert into it at renewal. Credits go into it. Manual payments go into it. Buying add-ons comes out of it.
Then if autopay is set up and Available Funds was insufficient to cover the renewal cost then it'll try the registered payment card.
You could use a prepaid "credit" card gift card with zero balance and still get the 2 bucks. You'll have to pay another way but you get your 2 bucks.
Edit: whoa. ninja'd. everybody's bangin' that refresh button. 🙂

@gpixel Hi no that’s the way I do it every month I never had a problem yet and no you will not get charged twice unless you keep hitting the button to pay like some people do

Most times autopay works but sometimes it doesn't. You could keep a balance in your account as a backup in then event if autopay fails.

No @gpixel any funds and rewards in the self service account are applied before your credit card is charged for the difference, if there is one.
