I lost my sim card and emailed support to get a new one sent out, they have not replied yet and i am in urgent need. I have heard people saying they take weeks to answer.
Is it possible for me to just order a new sim card and activate it and use my old plan? I can't create an account because i have no sim card and thus can't manage any details of my account online.

I agree with @jheili99. I always try to have an extra sim on hand

then you would have a spare one , which many of us have anyways which you could use as a back-up or even as a referal to give to somebody else.... referals are paid 1.00 off/month/referal ....

Worse case scenario you paid for two sims.
But the advantage is that you could have your service back and running two weeks earlier.

I think you can DIY this but doing it yourself always comes with the risk of screw up/tech issue which will require mod support.
Log into My account > Plan and Addons > Change Sim Cards> enter new sim and click submit.
Either way you can go ahead to order a sim or find one locally.
Others please chip in.

once you receive your new sim card and you log into your phone account you will see the option to "change sim card" ....
there are a few people here in the forum who might have spare sim cards..worth a try and asking here in the forum....
