@Caroline222

yes, you will keep the same phone number.

after the new sim is updated, the old one will not work anymore, so no worries

yes, but a new sim card from Telus or Koodo stores, make sure to ask them for a Public Mobile sim.  Or but from Amazon for only $5:
https://www.amazon.ca/Public-prepaid-postpaid-Activate-Allinone/dp/B06X9ZGDWG/

after you got the sim card, you can login to My Account (choose Didn't receive code and then choose send email to get the 2FA via email) and go to Profile and update the sim card there (or you can use the PM app to do the same)

or if you cannot login, ask PM to help to update the sim card number for you instead.  You will need to message them here:

Hey @Caroline222

To get a new SIM card the fastest routes are these.

https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/pick-up-SIM - Find a local store in your area.

Amazon - Here you can get it cheaper and maybe a few days wait $4.99

And yes, just log into your account and change the SIM card number. Then Reboot. Easy as pie!

EDIT: Just a side note, if your phone can do eSIM, you can log onto the app on the phone and purchase one. They are $5.
