Local call says its long distance

Every time I try to make a call it says its long distance when its not

Consistent with @computergeek541 advice,  I would update your contacts so that "1" is in front of every area code.

If the messages says that "long distance charges may apply", you can ignore the messages. There will be no charges. The messages can be avoided for future outgoing phone calls by dialing a 1 before the area code.
