The app is pretty slow too! I just opened it and it took about 20 seconds before my plan usage finally loaded up.

It's certainly not just you.
When I am trying to access the public mobile self-serve site, be it through mobile, laptop, or the app, it takes an infuriating amount of time for the page to access and fully load.
Clearing system cache & cookies, using Incognito or private tab has no impact.
Good time for a break while it is waiting to load 😉
