@Ottawatech I suspect that @holhm22 probably resolved this about 8.5 months ago, around the time of the last activity on this thread. Just sayin'.

I use a OnePlus One, and when I was still on Wind, it showed H+ when it was using HSPA+, never 4G.
@holhm22 you've said it yourself. Your phone shows H+ when on HSPA+ and LTE when on 4G LTE. You're already on 4G when it's showing you LTE.

This is incorrect. Android has different symbols in the status bar for LTE and 4G. My international Note 4 was able to show both 4G and LTE in the status bar. LTE showing when the connection was at its peak.
@OP what phone are you using?

And just to be super clear
There are different types of LTE as well
LTE Advanced is NOT the same thing as LTE
Even though phone shows same icons
eg the Apple iPhone 6S has a 300 Mbps compared to the iPhone SE which caps out at 150 Mbps
Heck even the Blackberry Priv has 450 Mbps (take that Apple!) as does the Galaxy S7

@pmobile the terms LTE & 4G are used (incorrectly) interchangeably
Same issue with 3G & 3.5G standerds
Lots of issues in how telecom industry advertises

4G = LTE on Android.

Sorry just to clarify, I mean interchangeably like you'll be on LTE but some SIMs or Phones show 4G instead but still mean LTE.

I could be wrong but aren't 4G and LTE used interchangeably? I know you mentioned that you're using the same phone so it is kind of strange but are you able to confirm you're getting LTE speeds or not?

My phone doesn't even have a 4G option ... LTE, 3G or 2G. If your phone is setup to LTE maybe the sat tower only has 4G. Have you tried rebooting the phone?
Maybe you stepped out of range of some satelites? does it happen everywhere?
