If it does turn out to be an LG G5 issue then there are some old threads below with more details than you probably want but might still give guidance:

A few things that you can try:
1. Check APN settings
https://apn-canada.gishan.net/en/apn/public-mobile
2. Network reset your phone
3. Factory reset your phone (back up information) - according to PM website, some LG phones need factory reset for data to work.
