Just activated 4 hours ago. I have some questions.

 wifi was off, and usually gives 20 MBPS anyway. So not a mistake I made. 

2) The $10 referral bonus, nor the holiday offer of second month free, has shown up in my account page. And yes, I created the self serve account with the email I registered. I also have the email confirmation of the offer activation from a few days ago in my inbox. 

Should I be concerned by any of these details, or do I just have to wait a few days for things to work themselves out?

1. Yes, so your connection is actually on the Telus network as you know. So when doing a speed test, it can be inaccurate depending on the speed test. Some speed tests use smaller chunks of data as the sample source. Best way to explain it is, it takes a moment for the network to throttle you down to 3mpbs. So most downloads will start faster and pan out to 3 Mbps after a few moments. This is especially if you just connected to the network.

2. The referral takes a bit to show up. Mine took a week before I could see it in self serve.

Please halt testing your speed. This can use very large amounts of data.  There is no 3Mbps speed limit during the first 48 hours.

The $10 credit for being referree comes within 72 hours.  

The credit for a free 30 days comes before your renewal.
