Hey fellow PM mates,
I signed up for PM a week ago and things have been going smoothly except for the fact that I cannot send out an picture messages. I had issues this weekend with it and it still persists today. I am able to receive them though. I can make calls, regular texts, use data for apps, etc...just cannot send any MMS texts. I changed my apn or whatnot to the PM settings in order access the data usage, so it can't be that. Is there a way to fix this?

I was having the same problem sending Pic texts, then I realized I had turned off my data except for WiFi. I only sed pics when using wifi. For some reason, I have to have the messaging data turned on even though it doesn't use it. As long as it is turned on it works fine.

On a couple of phones I had MMS sending problems if
those rarely used APN fields - MVNO type and MVNO value - were NOT populated.
However, once they were set to what is suggested here on these forums (some hex values),
MMS worked perfectly.

I feel like an idiot now. Thank you to all who helped. Bravos for all 🙂
You basically never re-tried like many including me suggested to.

No problem. I wanted to see a screenshot because I have been guilty on more than one occasion of the same thinking. I'm so sure that something is typed correctly that I am blind to the error. Glad you got it working!! Best of luck and take care!

Can you post a screen shot of your APN settings? Never know, it could be something set wrong even though you're sure it's right.

@Mana Yes I have that in already. I got that info last week from https://apn-canada.gishan.net/settings/933_15_public_mobile_apn_settings_for_lg_g4.php when I first set up my phone with Public mobile. I then typed in what @will13am said to do...
so far nothing has worked

That's correct, no spaces.

@will13am are there supposed to be spaces between the comma and letter? I copied it as you typed it without spaces

@Mana only facebook messenger. Doesn't affect the default messaging service
01-16-2018 08:34 PM
Do you happen to have more than one messaging app?
01-16-2018 08:24 PM
@Mana Yes I did. Still not working
01-16-2018 08:14 PM
After changing the APN settings did you try restarting the phone?
01-16-2018 08:10 PM
I filled out that field with what you said, still unable to send MMS. Every other app worked fine when that field was left blank. My APN list only has Public Mobile listed

LG G4. Using the default messaging from the phone
I've had the data on with wifi off and on, still doesn't work.

@bsperanz what phone and messaging app are you using?
Please make sure that you mobile data is turned on and turn off the wifi and try again.
01-16-2018 06:14 PM
is the wifi off? some phones won't send MMS if they are on wifi instead of the phone network.

@bsperanz, please put default, supl, mms into the APN type field. It will not be possible to edit an internally available APN. If there is a matching internal APN in use, then simply create a new APN with all the other fields the samd and the APN type field populated as recommended. I don't understand why sites suggest leaving the APN type field blank and leaving to chance default functionality. Failing this, try a different app. If the APN type field is the problem, no app will work.

I like simplicity, I don't want an app to do what my phone does normally. Nor do I want to spend time adjusting and getting used to and setting up an app that I don't need if my messaging service works. I've never had issues with Bell previously. It's only sending out MMS where the issue lies

Try using different texting app like Textra or Android Messages.

@bsperanz Issue like this is usually due to incorrect APN settings. Try removing any existing APN settings and add a new one with the settings found here: https://apn-canada.gishan.net/
