Invalid SIM card Network locked SIM card inserted

Hi,

Trying to get started but nothing is working for me.  Seems a maze of a bunch of places to log in, then I can pay but the card doesn't work.  I set up an account in one place then the system doesn't accept credentials.

The phone is an unlocked Samsung SM-G903W.  I used it on Freedom with no problems I bought it new elsewhere.

Help?

@S4022256, sounds like your Note 5 might be locked to another carrier.  If that's the case, contact the original carrier and ask them to unlock it.

@kleindacara   Welcome to PM and posting in the community forum...just something to keep in mind though, is to check the dates of the thread you are posting to.  This particular thread is about one and half years old and the issue is already resolved as indicated by the green check mark.  It's easy to make mistakes as a newbie, so don't stop posting if you think you can offer some suggestions for more current postings.  Good luck:)

samsung  note 5 920 k network locked sim card inserted

No working

The system not accepting your creditials is usually a password issue.  But that would be strange since you just set the account up yourself.

As for the network locked sim card insterted message, it's possible that your phone isn't really unlocked and that it could be locked to Wind.

When you say that you bought the phone elsewhere, I assume that means not directly from Freedom Mobile?  If you purcahsed the phone as new and unlocked, note that many Samsung models will automatically lock themselves to the carrier of the first inserted sim card.

@Bambam just trying to decifer what has happened.

1) entered your inforamation and sim card number

2) selected plan

3) payment

4) login

Did you get past the payment section (you mentioned that it failed) this is a common problem you should check with your cc company that you were not charged

if you try activating the sim a second time do you get an invalid sim message ?  if so then the sim was activated but the portal failed at creating your user profile.

in this case it is time to contact the mods they will help you in the morning.  make sure to include your sim number.

@Bambam Did you successfully activate the sim? If yes, login to your self-serve account and see if your plan is active and you are on a correct plan.

@Bambam, Once you have your SIM card, you need to start here.  The account info for your phone plan is not directly related to the account you set up to access this community.
