Can I receive text only in US without roaming add-on?

@XO  not too many USA roaming questions lately, but I recall reports that without an active roaming plan for talk, forwarding to voicemail stopped working once the phone registered on USA towers. Curious if you might be able to test this and let us know.

You can even try calling yourself over Wi-Fi using the likes of Google hangouts dialer, or TextNow.

Scroll down to the last Q of this page. It's officially recognized. It kinda has to due to the fact that upon connecting to a US tower, PM sends a text welcoming you to the US. (or the partner carriers see you and send the welcome text from PM 🙂 ).
