I've had this issue with other phone providers and noticed that the person calling had to try calling twice before getting to my phone - is this the same for you too?

From previous responses, it seems like this may be an issue with how your line was ported, but it may be worth inquiring with a moderator if it still persists...

Going to leave this here if you decide with the latter. All the best and stay safe!

There are 2 ways to contact the Moderator Team:

  • Faster response- Get help with your account the easy way by starting a conversation with our virtual assistant, SIMon. It’ll take you to relevant help articles, or if it’s something more urgent, it can help you submit a ticket to the Moderator Team. Click here to get started.
  • Slower- Alternatively, you can send a private message to the Moderators by clicking here. You’ll need to be logged in to your Community account for the link to work.

Once connected to Simon, you will be asked to log in again with your community user name and password.  Please do, this allows you to continue and send your message.
- Check your private message sent box (click on the envelope top right of your screen) to make sure the message was sent.

- Keep an eye on the envelope top right of your screen.  The mods answer will show up there.  When it does, you will be asked to verify your self service account, with your password and login. Doing so allows the process to continue.

@Vinsat check to see if dnd or aeroplane mode is enabled. Or unconditional  call forwarding, dial '#21#' to remove it. Welcome to PM. Stay safe.

Others have asked if you requested a number to be ported over. If you did ask for that to be done, this could be an indication that the port is either not complete or has failed. If that's the case, continue to use your old carrier's service. People may be reaching your voicemail because calls are being sent to your old carrier's service but that sim card isn't in a phone device any longer.

There also the possibility that if it's only some incoming calls going to voicemail that your phone might be blocking calls from people who not saved in your contact list.

Is it only incoming calls that are failing? if outgoing calls are also failing, it's also possible that your phone might not be compatible with the Public Mobile service.

Are you a new customer who just ported your number? Your port could be stuck.
