“Thank you for calling IVR. Did you know that you can check your Rewards, change your plans, purchase add-ons, view plan usage and so much more through My Account? Visit the new and improved My Account at myaccount.publicmobile.ca”
I call *611 and get this text message.
I don’t want this text message so, I reply “stop” very clearly and I instantly get another text:
”Free Message: Please call *611 from your mobile device for assistance.
Message gratuit : Composez *611 de votre mobile pour obtenir de aide.”
Cool, but I told you to stop texting me.
I don’t want these, how do I stop them?
Do I need a lawyer for a Class Action ‘suit or is someone going to fix this?

It seems like you're receiving unwanted text messages from your mobile service provider, Public Mobile, even after requesting to stop. Here are steps you can take to address this issue:
1. **Contact Customer Support**: The first step is to try to resolve the issue directly with Public Mobile's customer support. Call their customer service number or visit their website to find contact information. Explain the situation and let them know that you've already sent a "stop" message but are still receiving messages.
2. **Document the Issue**: Keep a record of all the text messages you receive, especially those confirming your "stop" request. This documentation may be useful if you decide to escalate the issue.
3. **Review the Terms and Conditions**: Check Public Mobile's terms and conditions regarding text message communications and opt-out procedures. Ensure you've followed their specified opt-out process correctly.
4. **File a Complaint with Regulatory Authorities**: If Public Mobile does not address the issue satisfactorily, you can file a complaint with regulatory authorities in your jurisdiction. In Canada, for example, you can contact the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to report unsolicited text messages.
5. **Consider Legal Action**: If the issue persists and you believe your rights are being violated, you may want to consult with a lawyer. They can advise you on potential legal actions, such as initiating a class-action lawsuit, if there are grounds for one. Keep in mind that legal action should be a last resort and can be time-consuming and costly.
Before pursuing legal action, it's advisable to exhaust all available options for resolving the issue through customer support and regulatory authorities. Most cases of unsolicited messages can be resolved through these channels without the need for legal action.
Remember that laws and regulations regarding unsolicited messages may vary by region, so it's essential to research the specific regulations applicable to your location.
