I referred a friend

I referred a friend who lives in USA he came and visited me so I used the referred a friend code and he is not here anymore I keep getting a $ 1.00 credit every month.  Am I still getting charged for his number?  and how do I get his number off of my account since he doesn't live here.

@pamprasad   It is very likely the account is still active.  did you try to call his number?  

PM is very good and efficient in removing the $1 referral bonus immediately once the account goes into Suspended or Cancelled.

And No, I don't see how you will get charged for his number, unless you opened the account using your own Credit card.  🙂

I am surprised that you are still get referral rewards since he is no longer in Canada. This means that the account is still active and someone is still payment for the service...either you or him.

To remove his referral, the AutoPay in the account must be removed.

Hopefully you didn't activate him with your credit card. If its his card you should probably tell them to remove their autopay. If you have another friend interested in switching to pm maybe they want to take over the account so they get to be on the old rewards program rather than the new much less lucrative points program.

Um...shhh 🙂 But seriously...if he set up an account on autopay then maybe he's still paying for it therefor keeping the account alive therefor you keep getting the $1.

If so, you might want to inform him of the fact. Although really, oughtn't one to recognize that one is paying for something they don't use.

There isn't any reason for you to be charged for his service unless he had permission from you to charge your credit card or Visa/Mastercard debit card.  Since you're still getting the $1 refer-a-friend reward, this means that his account is still active.  This is his responsibility to make sure that he stops paying for the service.  He should disable autopay and remove any credit card saved on the account.
