So I went online and ordered a SIM card. While purchasing the SIM card it made me chose a plan during this process. I paid $36+tax for my plan, plus the $5 or $10 charge for the SIM card itself. When the SIM arrived, during the activation process it made me purchase the plan again for $36+tax. Is this normal or did I get ripped off?

You should not pay twice.
If you paid twice, you have opened 2 accounts!! Open ticket and ask PM to investigate and close the extra account
Just open ticket with PM using the Orange Chatbot icon on the lower right. (For 2FA when login, you might need to use email to receive if you cannot receive the text on the phone.) Type the question Submit ticket and select Contact Us to get to ticket open screen

Oh yes you can, it happened to me also. I paid $36 +tax plus my sim card fee of $5 when I ordered my sim. When it arrived I had to pay for the plan again at $36 +tax. I don't know what to do either?
