You can do it through self-serving account. I hope you have it as easier way to handle account management.

@EileenS - so does that mean you have never created a self serve account before, and you are trying to create one now...which you need access to your phone to do?
If that is the case, and you are not able to update your card, ask Public Mobile Representatives customer support agents (CSA) to assist you getting your self serve account set up.
CSA can be contacted by either two methods, found here:

Once set up, you can go to the PAYMENT tab and add, update or change your credit card for autopay,
