I'm overseas, can I receive SMS messages sent to my Toronto number?

I'm currently overseas and still have my Public Mobile SIM card installed. I need to receive an SMS message sent to my Toronto number. Is there a way to do this? Using WhatsApp or other dada messaging app isn't an alternative . It's only via SMS it can work.

Public Mobile does not have any roaming partners outside of the US.  I doubt that it would be possible to connect on any carrier network.  As an aside my suggestion is to buy a service locally or rely on wifi.  There are lots of communication apps that do not rely on use of a phone number.

Your PM service won't work overseas.

This can only be done if you are in the US, and if you purchase the US text add-on.  It is not possible in any other country.
