As one of your suggestions, a simple restart of my cellphone (turning it off and on again) solved the problem. Thank you all for trying to help.

The Mobile Data button was greyed out when I tried to check my data usage. At home, I accessed my Public Mobile account online using my desktop and found that I still have plenty of data (I stay home all the time).

I will try your suggestions. I hope they will help. Thanks.

@TuanTran1

log in to your account and see if you still have data available ? Also, you could try re-boot of your cell. And you can also do a network re-set to see if anything helps.

I had just left home and was about 1 km away, heading to do some shopping in a Toronto neighbourhood when it happened. The Wi-fi button was fine but the Mobile Data button turned gray.

Thank you for your info.
