I was able to make and receive calls yesterday and after a couple hours I can't make calls anymore

Try resetting your network settings.
For Samsung:
Settings → General Management → Reset → Reset Mobile Network Settings
For iPhone:
Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Network Settings
After that, test calling again.
If it still doesn’t work, you’ll need to contact Customer Support

If nothing is working then check for outages in your area or dial 611 to see if your account is suspended due to nonpayment for this month.

I paid it yesterday. Everything was working fine and then stopped. Can't make or receive any calls or texts

I have done everything they have told me to do. I'm at a loss here. Nothing is working

What is the make and model of your phone. Since 3G has been removed, you will need VoLTE to make and receive calls. Here is more information:

Restart your phone and try again. Is your account active and up to date?
