How to block and unblock incoming callers?

I accidentally blocked my boyfriend's number (oops).  He goes straight to voicemail when he calls me.  How do I unblock him?  and How do I block people?

I had tried that before.  Just did it three more times and now it is working.  Phew.  Thanks!

@miranda, from the call log, select an entry, and then click on 'More'.  From there you should be able to block/unblock a number.  That's what I see on a Samsung S7.

@miranda, it depends on your phone model (operating system:  IOS, Android, Windows).  Generally, somewhere in the phone app there should be options for managing your call blocking.

If you provide the operating system/model, we can give you more specific info.
