To be sure you are checking in the right place for your referrals, look here (be sure to click the little arrow to expand details):
When did your referral sign up to Public Mobile? Referrals can sometimes take a few days to show up in your account. If it's not there after a few days, then you'll need to contact a moderator to fix it. In that case, you should send them a private message with your phone number and the phone number of the person you referred. How to contact moderators:

@situ if you need to be certain and you don't see it in your account, you could check with a moderator to see if anything was applied to your account.
Though i doubt they would tell you iif your friend actually added it or not for privacy reasons.

So you're saying your friend used your number s a referal?
I'm unsure if you receive a text saying that that referal has been complete.
But you should see it in your account.
