I entered the wrong IMEI number when creating my account and transfering my phone number .
how do I fix this

you just activated? how long you have activated?
did you check your Credit card and confirm if PM took the money yet?
you put your PM SIM in a phone? what did it say on the screen? do you see Public Mobile showing on top? or SIM not provisioned?
or are you existing customer and service was working before and just stopped working now?

did you just activate? did yo try to port in your number from another provider? if so, did you get a text from them asking you to authenticate the port?

Thanks for the added details... porting/transferring your number is a unique issue. Basically, Public Mobile's automatic process to port your number usually works well on the first try. If it doesn't work on the first try, it's tricky redoing it yourself. That's what the Porting Team is there for that @softech sent you the number for.
Just a note: the complete Porting process involves a lot of things. During this time, you may notice some things work (like calling out) but other things don't (like receiving calls). It should be fully completed after a couple hours so if you notice any glitches in the meantime, hang tight as their systems get everything done in the background. 🙂

@dcths where you porting out form? I believe only porting from Speakout needs IMEI. Always use account number for other carriers

No this is what I did wrong … this is what they send me via text …Hey, it's Public Mobile. We're having trouble transferring your number. Looks like you entered an incorrect ESN/MEID. Someone from our team will contact you shortly using your original phone
