@tonisage I went to a different location(a couple blocks away) and did a speed test and got 30mbps. I don't know if that's a good or a bad sign.

@Loucid I think it's setup well since you can access the internet now. have you tried your speed test in an open space (not in your home)?
07-11-2025 12:14 PM
@hTideGnow yes the download speed is 7mbps. I thought that was too slow. I'm in new west(a city close Vancouver). I'm on the 5g plan tho my phone only supports 4g. It's a Xiaomi Poco x3 pro

@tonisage I haven't tried checking the speeds from a location yet. I wanted to make it was working properly before I did that. I will try that next

hi @Loucid
you can only get 7Mbps ? where (city) you are at?
and what plan you have?
and what phone you have?
07-11-2025 06:22 AM
@Loucid you should get close to 100mbps. Depending on your location, I had 51mbps now while in transit.
Have you tried checking a different location?
07-10-2025 07:53 PM
@tonisage I can do 200mbps on my home wifi. I know it's not the same thing but there shouldn't be 193mbps difference.
07-10-2025 07:51 PM
@tonisage it says 4g. It should be higher then 7mbps?

LTE or H+, which one are you currently on

It's neither an iPhone nor a Samsung. It's an unknown brand called Tecno😎. It lacked the required band to work with PM
07-10-2025 07:18 PM
I tried using the apn settings you suggested. It does connect but it's does like 6mbps and thats way to slow
07-10-2025 07:12 PM
@tonisage what phone your family has?
07-10-2025 07:05 PM
Also regarding my family member, he was stuck on 3g, he could make calls and text but no data. After inputting the APN, THE Telus rep at Cambridge center mall said the phone isnt compatible with the network.
07-10-2025 07:04 PM
I will try that and I'll let know you if it works for me or not

A family member of mine had the same issue and this was the response from a customer care agent 2 days ago*

I don't think that's the right apn because now I'm h+ and not 4g

Yes I can call and receive voices and send and receive texts messages, but data isn't working
07-10-2025 05:20 PM
I picked a new number. I did reset my network settings and I rebooted my phone. That didn't solve the problem. Any other suggestions?

Did you port your number over from another carrier? If so, did you reply with YES to the text from your old carrier confirming you are porting your old number over to PM? You have 90 to reply. You will need to contact a CS_Agent to complete your porting by clicking on the Chat icon and type in Submit a Ticket.
Or did you pick a new number? If you did then reboot your phone by powering off then back on. If that didn’t work then reset the Network setting on your phone.

When you say 'voice calls and texts' work do they work both way? Can YOU call and text somebody and receive calls and text from somebody at your chosen (or ported in) number?
