I am trying to port a number over to Public Mobile. Data is working and calling out is working but either calling in nor SMS works. I am not sure how to resolve. I cannot log into the app as I need to receive an SMS with a code but that is not coming through. thanks

hi @Mirit
Did you get a text from the old carrier, did you reply Yes within 90 mins?
and can you receive inbound phone calls, especially from Non-Telus/Koodo/PM phone? If you cannot the port was not done
It could be an incomplete port. PM porting support team can help. I have sent you the porting support team number. Please check your Community inbox (https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/privatenotespage), check for the number and call

You have to make sure your other providers SIM card is in your phone to accept the text. Once you say YES within 90 minutes, you'll see your providers name up top disappear and go SOS. That's why you replace the SIM with the PM SIM card and reboot. The option to reset the network is to go into your settings and reset Network Settings. Then reboot. If you're still having issues, create a ticket for a CS Agent to assist.
Public Mobile’s protocol for porting issues is that you submit a ticket.
The Public Mobile chatbot is currently unable to create trackable tickets for members who are unable to log in. So for this reason, please use the following link to contact customer service.
