When changing your plan, you can either change immediately (forfeiting whatever amount you paid for your current plan) or change at the next renewal date. However, in your case, I would contact a Moderator to see if they can help you out.

Also keep in mind that if you are a relatively new customer on one of the “new customer promotions” that gave some sort of bonus for first 3, 6 or 8 months, you might have terminated that bonus either by switching plans OR By switching to a plan below a certain monthly cost.

Were you wanting the promotional $35/2gb and accidently chose the $35/1.5gb plan? If that's the case just submit your service request as suggested and keep an eye on the envelope icon next to your avatar at the top right corner of your screen for a little number to pop up indicating a message from the moderators. Responding promptly to messages will speed up service times.
If you chose a different plan with a higher plan fee than you paid you will want to add funds to your account balance to make up the difference. A moderator wkll be able to switch plans for you if they so choose.....if you are satisfied please ask for a review link so you can tell pm about your experience. Happy Canada Day!

Technically everything is prepaid and there are no refunds. However as @gblackma mentioned you could contact moderators, if it was an honest mistake and see if they can help you.
There are two ways to change a plan for future reference.
1- Change now (it will say top up now if you do not have the funds available to cover plan)
Plan will charge immediately, you will be charged and no refund on unused days from old plan.
2- change at next renewal (a preferred choice by many)..the new plan selected will be charged at next payment due date and will start then. Note - Even if it was a flash promo plan that has since disappeared. As long as you have selected it to change at next renewal you'd still get the plan.

If you change plan again, you'll lose the plan fee on the plan you have now. Future date a scheduled plan change for the next renewal and use the one you have now for the 30 days

@Mox contact the moderators and explain what happened. They should be able to help you in choosing the right one. There are 2 ways to contact the Moderator Team:
Once connected to Simon, you will be asked to log in again with your community user name and password. Please do, this allows you to continue and send your message.
- Check your private message sent box (click on the envelope top right of your screen) to make sure the message was sent.
- Keep an eye on the envelope top right of your screen. The mods answer will show up there. When it does, you will be asked to verify your self service account, with your password and login. Doing so allows the process to continue. Stay safe.
Welcome to the community .
