Did anyone ever get a phone call from Public Mobile? I just got one and they asked me for my service provider's name so they can properly transfer my number.

I have to say they are persistant
Got *another* call from Public today confirming what is still outstanding and what needs to be done
Mary said will phone me again this Friday (or one of her colleagues) but does not want to promise all issues resolved by then
She said if anything outstanding over Christmas holiday they will call me back in Jan

What the heck lol
I had just commented on how phone calls from Public are about as real as the Loch Ness Monster or Leprechauns
Guess who I just got off the phone with?
MARY (yes I also asked if she was the mod but she was a different Mary haha) called me to apoligise about my port out and asking what they could do to make things better
Apparently they did not notice at first that previous mods had made me a new account
Oh I also got my replacement SIM in mail today as well
So we are working towards solving my issues, nearly there

FYI: Tech support, aka https://publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help, is "allowed" to call customers. I had a few during a problem plan change. You can watch their activity by logging into your account while on the phone with them. They may also be picking up some of the private messages sent to moderators.

I was using a VOIP app called Fongo so they had trouble porting my number over to PM. They knew my name, address and phone number so I'm assuming the call was legit. They called me a few other times before and I was skeptical picking up calls that I don't know. Although, the caller ID said, "Mobility Cilent".
They said that my number will be successfully ported on December 7th. Crossing my fingers and I hope it works!
This was the number: TELUS Client Care Mobility at 1-866-558-2273.

@ShawnC13 could be he was on a reseller (eg 8com) or a voip system. They can't see those.

Is your phone working? You would think that with your number and whatever you provided them that they would be able to find out who your previous provider was
