Does Public Mobile do "price match" kind of thing when other carrier has better deal?
I found a $20 1.5GB unlimited call and text from freedom mobile. But I don't want to switch to a new carrier. So if Public Mobile provides the same deal, that would be great

@jerryst01 Freedom Mobile may have better deals but there network and cellphone coverage isn't very good. I was with Freedom Mobile for a couple of months because of their unbeatable price, but had to leave as I consistently had issues with accessing data, receiving & making calls, and receiving & sending text messages in various parts of the city I live in. It definitely was not worth it. Granted, the coverage may be better in your area. Good luck!

We get ripped off in Canada with every carrier ... even Public mobile. Data rates are ridiculous in Canada and the big 3 should be nationalized or broken up via anti trust laws. In the US there are many many carriers that off unlimited talk text & data for $30 /month.

My daughter has Freedom Mobile, her service coverage is quite limited. We will be side by side in a small town that is close to a big city and she will not have service. The same goes for her data, also limited coverage. Public Mobiles coverage is significantly stronger. NOT worth the change. As soon as my daughter is out of her contract I will be changing her to Public also.
**just check the coverage map before changing**

So they could come up with a plan change, one never knows. But competing with Freedom/Shaw isn’t a level playing field as Telus has a far better network and PM has far better rewards I would assume.

If Public Mobile does anything it would be competitive offerings against Lucky or Chatr. I've not heard of them competing with Freedom.
Recently, out west, they gave gifts to existing customers allegedly in response to not wanting people to move to Shaw Mobile.
Not long ago they had a plan in Quebec only to compete against Videotron. Then they made the plan available to everybody.
But no..no one-off price matching.

Aw, that's unfortunate. Good to know
