Followed Number Transfer Instructions, Did Not Work

I recently switched over to PM from Fido, and followed the instructions to transfer my number exactly. After several days my iMessage still wasn't working and neither were my texts, so I restarted my phone and noticed that I had been assigned a new number.

Can someone please help me regarding getting my old number.

If you've been reassigned a new number, it means your number is still with Fido, oddly enough.

Please check your mailbox top right corner and I'll send you a number to call to get this fixed.

Are you able to login to your Fido account to see if the line is still active?  If you still have the SIM card handy, try running the Fido service.  If your port is stuck, the number from the link provided can be used to confirm the port is stuck in the queue and support staff can help with correcting the problem.

Before we send you a number to call, can you confirm you received a text from Fido requesting a number transfer and you said YES to it?
