While this is true, this may not be the best idea for everyone.
Honestly, I beleive Public Mobile would actually prefer people to do this. While the bonus credit will be higher with a more expensive plan, the new customer will also be paying more for the first 30 days of service.
In addition, if a customer knows how he/she uses his/her phone, having more features/more minutes/more data doesn't necesarily have any benefit if the customer isn't going to use those things. Also keep in mind that customers taking a more expensive plan than they otherwise would have are at risk of changing their usage patterns, and many will find that they now need or want to keep the higher priced plan. It's the perfect upsell opportunity for the carrier, and it doesn't always help the customer to get more free stuff.
