Extra Billing

Gus100

Hello,

I went to pay my credit card bill, and I noticed there was an extra billing of $20.16 in addition to the $16.80. I checked my payment history and it calls this extra billing as an automatic top up. What is this all about? Recently I had to update my credit card which was set to expire, did this cause the problem? Could you please help me resolve this, thanks.

Hello Handy1,

I know there was a change in price, that's not what I was complaining about.  My last credit card statement from 09/24/25 to 10/23/25 was for $16.80 which I paid. My recent credit card statement 10/24/25 to 11/24/25 has two billings from Public Mobile one is $16.80 on 10/24/25 and $20.16 on 11/24/25.  I guess by chance the two billings fell within the range of this latest credit card statement.  Thanks for responding.

hi @Gus100

that is $18 + tax in BC or MB

PM has a $3 price hike for the $15 plan.  So, it is now $18

check on your My Account and see if you have a $18 1GB plan.  It is the same price as your old 250Mb plan for more data

@Gus100  I’m assuming you have been on the $15 plan ? Most by now have been switched to $18 plan as the $15 plan has been removed from all . This could be why you see change in price . And as for top up that’s just how the bill shows looks like you pay extra but infact it’s adds up to just the plan price . Unless you had changed to the $18 plan immediately and did not use the change on renewal option . Did you happen to to change plans immediately?
