I was looking to purchase add-on data and that message appeared. Can someone tell me what it means, especially: ''your current promotions will no longer be valid.'' Thanks

@foffe Am I to understand that unused add-on data expires after 30 days of purchase?
Yes if it is a purchased one for use in Canada. 15 days if for US roaming. No if it was a bonus data add on such as we used to get at Christmas.

@foffe data add ons associated with you current subscription may become incompatible if you change your subscription.
This typically applies if you switch to a plan with unlimited data (I don't think there are any currently). In that case the data add ons (they mean the bonus data add ons we were given at Christmas in the past) stay in the account but aren't usable until you switch back to a limited data plan. This happened to me when I went from a fixed data bucket to an unlimited data bucket.

if you're considering purchasing a data add-on....it will have no affect on your current plan. Remember that the in-Canada add-on data is only valid for 30 days from the time you buy it. If you want the US Roaming data add-on...that only lasts until you either use it up or 15 days runs out.

Do you have any current promotions, @foffe ?
What this generally has meant (in the past), is if one is on a price-point plan which required a certain minimum monthly amount, then the user switched to a LOWER priced plan, any data bonus which may have been attributed to the higher priced activation plan might be removed or incompatible.
If you're not in that situation, no worries.
