hi, I see this plan when i google search. ($24 Unlimited Canada-Wide Talk + Text + 4GB) but it's gone when i log in and want to get it?
my friend and his wife just switched to public mobile from Bell today and they got this plan.
I currently have the 90 day $102 60GB plan and would like to get this one instead. is it doable without canceling or changing phone number?
thanks

ya i'm really tempted do do this. my plan now is $34 a month so even if i spent $15 for the switch, it wouldn't take long to make up for it. i just find it insulting that the loyal costumers don't have access to the best deals.

@fracl11: I don't know the implication of this myself as I haven't had experienced doing this. While for sure it's not illegal or anything (you can port back and forth as much as you like as you are not bounded by such contract) I would let someone like @computergeek541 respond to this if they know. 🙂

I got a reply from the private message i sent and it doesn't look like I'll get it. but i could transfer my number to a new company like lucky mobile, i already have a sim, and for $15 i could come back here and get the deal. it would pay itself out in no time. do you think they would let me do this? they see me quit here and a few days later re-sign with a new deal and way cheaper plan for my needs.

I haven't tried doing this so don't have first hand experience but there's threads here by other users (such as this one https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Get-Support/Transfering-Numbers/m-p/1047268#M731502) which suggests that it's not possible to do transfers as such.
There are many things that can be done. However, the process that required to acheive this is forbidden.

In any case the recommended approach if you want to get this new plan is to contact the support agent as stated in my first post and ask them.

ya i guess. but what about this.. i create a new account using a new email and order that plan and a sim card, when i get it, i put the new sim in another phone and do the phone number transfer to activate the new sim/plan, after that i login to my current account and cancel what i got now? it renews on the 11th of this month anyway. do you think that would work?

@fracl11: While the frustration is understandable, and has been expressed in many many different threads here, in my personal view this is all normal with almost all cell phone plan providers. If you look at many other players in the market, big or small, they all offer the latest or best deals to new customers. I guess public mobile has loyalty discounts for existing customers depending on the number of years you are with them so that kinda makes up for the older plans I guess 🙂 🙂

ok i'll send them a message, but i think it's kinda weird that we, long time existing customers don't have access to the good plans. thanks for your help

@fracl11: This plan you are talking about is for new activations only. If you go to the plans page (https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/plans#ALL) and view the plan it says the clearly. The reason your wife and your friend managed to get it was because they came into Public Mobile as new customers.
Unfortunately I don't think it's doable to downgrade your plan into this one without cancelling and starting new. But you can try your luck by direct messaging the service agent at, https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
