Esim purchase for existing cx

Hi, i have ontario number and moved from Ontario to alberta. I want to switch to alberta number since it’s still charging me 13% hst. Is there any way for existing customer to change it’s number and get a alberta number? Also, i want to switch to esim. Will there be any charge for existing customer for this switch. I’m also looking some great boxing week package from pm like $29 for 4g data but I don’t see those deal when i login into my account. Are those deals only for new customers. Thanks

Thanks for your answer. So should i first change my number in my current physical sim and then purchase esim on app and new number will automatically transfer to esim? Or may be i can just open new account, will give me new esim free plus boxing week deal and new number.

@Ravidalal , that’s up to you. You can do either. Which ever will make you the happiest 😃

@Ravidalal , it was easier for me to post the instructions separately. Sorry.

For the subscription plans labeled “Available for new activations only” we as current Customers can’t get those plans unless we sign up for a new account using a new SIM Card or eSIM & a different email address.

That’s also why you don’t see them when signed into your account.

Edit: I forgot to add that eSIM cost $5 for existing Customers (I used my points though to pay for it).

@Ravidalal ,

For eSIM for Existing Customers:

  1. Log in to the Public Mobile app  on your Phone, select + symbol on bottom left, go to ‘Subscription & Add-ons’ page to purchase an eSIM, scroll down & select ‘Shop SIM CARD NOW’ then under ‘SELECT SIM CARD TYPE’ select ‘eSIM’ then select ‘PAY NOW’, (I purchased the eSIM using my available balance from points that I redeemed).
  2. Please keep in mind to be patient when installing it, it takes time. Follow the instructions it gives you during this process! After it says on your Phone’s screen that it installed successfully reboot your Phone. ‘With your Phone turned off remove your SIM Card from your Phone’. As an extra measure I reset my Phone’s network settings & rebooted.
  3. In cellular settings make sure that ‘Turn On This Line’ (for iPhone ) is selected. (I am not positive where the setting is on a different phone to turn it on, possibly ‘Turn on your eSIM under Mobile Network’), reboot your phone.

(I had my data on plus my Wi-Fi was turned on & connected to my home internet to be sure I had all connections while doing this)

I received an email notifying me that my SIM Card changed.
