E-sim Transfer to new android phone

I've seen the comments on having to download a new e-sim to my new android phone but do I have to turn off the e-sim on my old phone before doing so. Thanks in advance for any information on this.

Thanks but I wanted to also know if I turn the esim off on my old phone before purchasing the new esim with the app on the new phone.

you cannot transfer but you can buy new esim for free

just download the PM app on the new phone, login and go to Account page and buy a new one

The system is supposed to be smart enough not to charge you, but if it does, then ask PM to reimburse you
