Don't renew plan when topping upq

Every time I top up it automatically renews my current plan. But if I want to change plans, it robs me of the opportunity. There seems to be no clear way to change to a different plan when your current plan has expired. This is frustrating as all hell.

I was on the $42 for 30 day plan with province-wide calling, unlimited texts, and 1Gb of 4G data, but wanted to switch to $52 for 30 day with Canada-wide calling, unlimited texts, and 2Gb of 4G data. So I added $55 to my account. Now I have $14 available (I had $1). It feels like theft, as it's not what I want and before you add money it looks like I'd have to manually re-activate the plan, which would give me time to change it. Anyway, this is infuriating. And Public Mobile is losing out on revenue.

Yes, there are two options when wishing to change a plan provided.  The mistake everyone appears to be making is waiting until their plan expires.

Option 1 - Change plan immediately which means paying on top of your recent top-up to get the new plan now, or

Option 2 - While your plan is currently active, use the button on the right side of the screen to Schedule at next renewal.

Renewal day is not the day to change a plan manually, as it currently requires moderator assistance.  If you can wait for one more cycle, activate your plan today, and after it's activated setup the scheduled change for your next renewal.

in theory, future-dating plan change should solve the issues you are having.

The only way to change plans while your account is in suspension is to contact the mods.

I would recommend after you top up and are active again select future dated plan change.

They are working on fixing that issue. Just message the mods and they 99% of the time will simply change your plan to the one you want. Explain what happened and what plan you want as long as the funds are there. You should be good.
