Hi,
Porting my number over from WIND to PM was a breeze!
It took less than 10 minutes before I could call and text under PM network.
As for WIND now though, do I have to call them and cancel my account? Or did that automatically get done when the number got ported over to PM?

You do not have to do anything beyond the port, your old provider account will be automatically closed for you.

For me from Rogers, I did the port number one night and I was still able to access the rogers account, and the 2nd day the account shows as cancelled, might take a while I think

As long as your number was ported over, then cancellation of wind is all done during the porting process!
You're free from Wind, enjoy the reception LOL.
