Covid put a lot more strain on the network. More calls, more data, more traffic. Because a lot of people started working and studying from home, doing their shopping/etc through proxies, connecting to the world online instead of connecting to the world outside, staying inside and entertaining themselves with bandwidth on a screen.
The demand on the network has increased but the machinery on the network largely remains as it was before. More lag and disconnects, poorer call quality, slower data, everybody waits in line and gets smaller shares except it's not as visible across wireless as it is in a grocery store.

@Korth did it work really well before covid? Haven't tried that feature yet

No extra costs. But conference calling seem to get interrupted and disconnected a lot. At least in my area.
It was much, much better before covid put strain on the network.

I think so on the call waiting feature, but not sure about the conference calls. I think It's safe to assume everything is included though you could ask a PM chat employee that question.
