Delayed Messages

Hey Everyone!

I just switched to Public Mobile on the weekend from Koodo at a Koodo store. I was wondering if there's a specific reason for delayed text messages?

Any answers / reasons would help!

What is the make and model of your phone so we can help with your settings?

@z34_eric  - could be device, network, account/sim related. Hard to know exactly, and hopefully it is just something that clears up on its own.

Some things to try for network issues, are:

• restart your phone
• toggle into and out of airplane mode
• power off, remove and reinsert your SIM card, restart phone
• perform a Reset of the device's Network Settings

@z34_eric The location of the sender or recipient can create a delay in text message delivery.  SMS isn't an instant messaging service.  SMS message is piggyback on the voice channel for delivery.  It depends on how busy the voice channel was.
