Yes! You'll get text messages when you've used up 75% and 95% of your data respectively.
It goes like this "Public Mobile here. You have used 95% of the data included in your service. Go to publicmobile.ca/selfserve for more options."
Alternatively, you could keep an eye on how many data you have used up by logging in to your Public Mobile account.

Yup, I can attest to the 75% and 90% notification texts! I got those this past cycle... blew through my data hard this time! But you will get notified and are able to make changes to your data usage or buy more data for the rest of your cycle (the later is what I did).
