Data usage- incorrect

Lyndz

I just downloaded all my data usage by using AI- and it said:

The total data usage recorded in your log is 668.66 MB.
This is roughly 0.67 GB, which means you have used about two-thirds of a single gigabyte across the entire period shown (June 2 days to June 30)
And yet, Public Mobile just alerted me that I have used up 0.98/1GB.
Naturally, I am about to purchase more data, however according to my records? I've only used up nearly 70% of my data.
Anybody else ever look into this?!

hi @Lyndz

there is always a 100Mb buffer extra showing on the usage history.  But the 100Mb+ extra won't affect your total useable data.

Also, the full data log you mentioned is only updated after midnight.  So, if you check during the day, the usage you see in the Overage page's usage meter  is the most updated usage and will be higher than the usage you added from the Usage History page

This is a widespread phenomenon.

using the mobile app; log in to your account and view Usage Breakdown to see how much data you start with and how much you've consumed already.

As already pointed out...1GB isn't really much data...even for a light user. If you find you still need more data, consider upgrading to a plan with a bit more data rather than a data add-on. I'm also a light user and get by nicely with 3GB/30 days.

The best thing to do is to login to your account and see what was using up you data.

Remember that PM is on a 30 day cycle and not on a monthly cycle.
0.67gb of data in 30 days is low. I use up about 3.0gb of data and I connect to my home wifi whenever I am at home and connect to public wifi while I am out…I am not on social media at all. Data is used up when I have no access to wifi when I use apps.
