Data usage incorrect

I just signed up for Public Mobile a few days ago, and it says I have already used 7.25GB of my data, but when I look at my usage history it's no where even close to that. What's going on here?

PM data usage tracking is the most accurate way to see data usage. Do not rely what your phone is telling your any other 3rd party app.

If you keep data On all the time background updates, app checking non-stop internet can use your data very fast.
Keep data On Only when you really need it and definitely NOT during night.

actually, i think its on me, it looks like in my IOS settings under Cellular, the current data perioids match, and it was a software update that must have happened over data. Just that it for some reason doesn't show in my Public Mobile usage history. Thanks for looking into it @Chalupa_Batman

Oh those pesky updates!!! Oh yes. I see iOS 18.5 on my phone. But it's only 1.38GB according to the update. So, later this evening, check your data usage and you'll see, after a swipe down if needed, the "update" that was used.

hey Chalupa, thanks for the reply. I have a iphone. I tried all your suggestions, swipped down, then deleted the app, and rebooted my phone and reinstalled but it is still giving me this inflated number. Can you help me connect with an agent?
thanks a lot!

Hello @Nicki9knuckles

The app has cache issues. So place your finger at the top of the page and swipe down for it to reset. If that doesn't work, if it's an Android, go into your App settings, find the PM app and clear the cache and then reboot your phone. Log in again and it should clear. If it's an iPhone, delete the app reboot and download the app again and log in. If that doesn't clear it up, let us know and we'll directly you to a CS Agent to investigate. But I do think the above should work.

Side note, PM updates their data usage every 12 hours.
